About Us

AMC is a growing association management company that was created after the founder, Lori Wilkins, decided to expand her expertise in the association management industry.  Lori has been working as the Executive Director for the Houston Chapter of the Appraisal Institute for more than 25 years. In 2002 her husband Dale left his job in the oilfield sales industry to help build AMC.  Today AMC has an office in Houston, TX, which is centrally located to the Galleria and Downtown.  AMC has a staff of twelve dedicated employees who provide professional services to over 40 different organizations in the Houston area and two (2) in Austin, Texas. Our office is equipped with the latest computers, software, color laser printers, copy and fax machines, network servers, email servers, and fiber optic line for internet connections and email communications.  Phone lines are answered or messages are returned in a timely manner and every staff member has a cell phone which is almost always available.  

With regard other types of relevant experience: AMC has managed The Appraisal Institute Houston for over 30 years, the Appraisal Institute Austin Chapter for five years, as well as Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Gulf Coast Chapter for over 15 years, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) for 20 years.

Other associations include Project Management Institute Houston Chapter (PMI Houston was named “Chapter of the Year” 2010, 2013 and 2015), Houston Compensation & Benefits (HC&B), Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) for the Houston.

We have acquired a vast amount of knowledge concerning continuing education, instructor and hotel contracts.  AMC facilitates over 50 continuing education courses for Appraisal Institute, CCIM, Houston Compensation and Benefits and Project Management Institute every year which brings tens of thousands of dollars to the association.

Lori started a program to have local Appraisal Institute members certified as instructors to keep more dollars here and to help local members.  She and other members of our staff have been negotiating with hotels and other types of venues for years with much success.

We treat your money as if it were our money. AMC facilitates strategic and goal setting board retreats, golf tournaments, conferences, galas, sponsorship programs, silent and live auctions, and continuing education for professional associations. AMC also has a board room available for client use.
